What Does Volunteering with LiiKe Involve?
As a LiiKe volunteer, you will work with our long-term partner Sports Development Aid (SDA) in Tanzania, contributing to activities at the intersection of sport and development. You’ll gain first-hand experience in local communities and learn about NGO work in the Global South, while immersing yourself in the daily life and culture of Tanzania.
Sports Development Aid has two offices on Tanzania’s southeast coast along the Indian Ocean and one in Singida, central Tanzania. Volunteers support SDA’s diverse programs — from report writing and fundraising to sports coaching and teaching games to children.
You will live with a local host family, providing a unique opportunity to learn about Tanzanian culture and pick up the basics of the Swahili language in a meaningful, everyday context.
