Ari – The Visionary Behind the Movement
Ari is a passionate supporter of Liverpool FC and Porin Ässät, an early riser, amateur footballer, geographer, development researcher, cycling commuter, and a kind-hearted, active father of two. He is a dynamic visionary who loves Tanzania and has a true safari spirit — keeping up with him can be a challenge, as the pace is fast! To top it all off, Ari has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro eleven times.
At LiiKe, Ari is in daily contact with our partner organizations in Tanzania and Zimbabwe, managing ongoing projects and reporting to partners and stakeholders. He is also responsible for LiiKe’s corporate partnerships

Tor – The Ever-Young Explorer
Tor is our eternally young 80 plus-years-old social media enthusiast, an award-winning golfer, and a globe-trotter with decades of experience in development projects across Africa since the 1980s. Known affectionately as “Torre,” he’s a collector of African wood carvings, a proud pappa and morfar, and a source of wisdom and joy at the office — when he’s not off in Tanzania or Mozambique.
At LiiKe, Tor manages bookkeeping and invoicing, and plays a key role in planning fundraising and corporate partnership projects. In Tanzania, he trains local staff and supports the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of our development initiatives.

Miia – The Energizer with a Global Heart
Miia is an extroverted physical activity instructor, political scientist, and social psychologist — and a mother of two — who is passionate about creating a better world, staying active, and all things Tanzania.
At LiiKe, in addition to leading our beloved office stretch breaks, Miia is responsible for planning and delivering our global education and sustainable development activities within the field of sport.

Salla – The Communicator for Equality
Salla previously worked as a practical nurse and is currently studying to become a sports instructor, specializing in sports development and leadership. She loves all kinds of physical activity, from going to the gym to swimming, and actively writes a travel blog about her adventures around the world. Promoting an equal and discrimination-free world is especially important to her.
At LiiKe, Salla-Mari is responsible for general development communications and social media updates. She also takes part in planning and implementing fundraising activities.

Sports Development Aid (SDA) is a Tanzanian civil society organization dedicated to promoting school attendance, learning outcomes, and gender equality among children and youth through physical activity and sports in Tanzanian schools and local communities

Sport Leaders’ Institute of Zimbabwe (SLIZ) develops and trains Zimbabwean sports leaders and physical education teachers, strengthening their professional skills and working environment.
